Notevia is designed as a secure, privacy-focused note-taking application. Your notes are stored locally on your device using strong encryption, and we do not upload or store your personal notes on our servers.

2. Information We Collect

Notes and Personal Content

Your notes, titles, and related content are stored locally on your device.

All note data is encrypted before being stored using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.

We do not collect, upload, or store your notes on our servers.

Biometric Authentication

If you enable biometric protection, the App uses your device's biometric authentication (such as fingerprint or face recognition) solely to unlock the application.

Biometric information is processed entirely by your device's operating system.

We never collect, store, or transmit your biometric data.

Backup Files

If you choose to export your notes, backup files are created locally on your device.

If you later import a backup, the selected file is processed only on your device.

Backup files are never uploaded to our servers.

Device Information

The App itself does not collect personal device information.

However, third-party services such as Google AdMob may automatically collect limited information including:

  • Device identifiers

  • Advertising ID (where applicable)

  • IP address

  • Approximate location derived from IP address

  • Device type

  • Operating system version

  • App interaction data

  • Diagnostic information

This information is used for advertising, fraud prevention, analytics, and improving ad performance.

3. Advertising

The free version of Notevia displays advertisements using Google AdMob.

AdMob may collect and process certain information to display advertisements and measure their effectiveness.

Depending on your location, you may be asked to provide consent for personalized advertising before ads are shown.

4. In-App Purchases

Notevia offers optional premium features through in-app purchases.

Purchases are securely processed by Google Play.

We do not receive or store your payment information.

Purchase validation and subscription management may be handled using RevenueCat.

RevenueCat processes only the information necessary to manage purchases and subscriptions.

5. Data Storage

Your data remains stored locally on your device.

The App does not provide cloud synchronization or maintain online copies of your notes.

Encryption keys are securely stored using your device's secure storage mechanisms where supported by the operating system.

6. Data Security

We take security seriously.

The App includes features designed to protect your information, including:

  • AES-256 local encryption

  • Secure encryption key storage

  • Optional biometric authentication

  • Automatic app locking when the app moves to the background

  • Screenshot and screen recording protection where supported

  • Secure local database storage

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Third-Party Services

The App may use the following third-party services:

  • Google AdMob (Advertising)

  • Google Play Billing (In-app purchases)

  • RevenueCat (Subscription management)

Each provider maintains its own privacy policy governing how it handles information.

8. Permissions

Depending on your device and the features you use, the App may request permissions including:

  • Biometric authentication (to unlock the app)

  • Storage or media access (for importing and exporting backups)

  • Internet access (for advertisements, subscription verification, and related services)

Permissions are requested only when needed for specific features.

9. Children's Privacy

Notevia is not directed toward children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.

10. Your Choices

You can:

  • Create, edit, or delete your notes at any time.

  • Export your notes whenever you choose.

  • Delete backup files manually.

  • Disable biometric protection.

  • Purchase Premium to remove advertisements (if applicable).

  • Reset or uninstall the App to remove locally stored data.

11. Data Retention

Your notes remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App.

Exported backup files remain wherever you choose to save them until you delete them.

We do not retain copies of your notes on our servers.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any changes will be reflected within the App or through an updated Privacy Policy.

Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
